What you do today...

Today is a blessed day. Some mornings, I get it. The tragedy of that sentence is the word some. Thankfully, this morning falls into the some. I woke up this morning thinking about God and praising this Christ named Jesus. When I wake up with the right frame of mind, God has a way of putting his hands around my heart and squeezing. On this Monday, God is asking me, "What are you going to do today? Are you going to do anything that matters?" That's the question I've been posing to myself this morning; I pose it to you as well.

It's so easy to let the day sweep our thoughts away. I can easily get caught up in work, or the goals me and Melinda (but maybe not necessarily God) want to accomplish. My mind can start drifting to the upcoming weekend and wonder what me and my wife can do to entertain ourselves. I can start to think about what we don't have yet, and my heart can begin to feel like there's something missing in our lives. I could go on and on, but I don't have to explain this to you. You have a mind of your own, so you know how it works.

So the question remains, "What are you going to do today? What are we going to do today?" In reality (God's reality...the only TRUE reality), we can go one of two ways today. We can do things that enhance the Kingdom of God and bring glory to the name of Jesus Christ, or we can do things that do not have an eternal effect. Think about it; everything we do falls into one of those two bins. On my drive into work this morning, I asked God to help me do things that matter...that matter to him.

That's my heart today, and I hope we Christians become fed up and dissatisfied with a religion that's full of fear, doubt, and complacency. We are around people everyday, and so many of them need a savior. Unfortunately, we tend to forget that the people around us have souls and that Jesus died for them just as much as he died for us. One of my co-workers may need to hear about this Jesus today. The person I approach at the Walgreen's register when I'm checking out may be going through rough times...I won't know if I don't ask and I can't pray for that person if I don't know what's going on in his or her life. Our Sunday night prayer group has been praying for boldness over the last few weeks. I want God to increase the witness in my life, and I want God to increase the witness in yours.

Thanks for reading. More importantly, thanks for being his hands and his feet. Jesus saves.  -jb

Had a great evening last night with the hubs. Went to eat at McAlister's Deli, which we love. Then went to TarJay.. and i got the cutest romper along with some baby things for my sweet friend, Lesley.

Did anyone notice our SUPER COOL new buttons?!!?

One was made by the amazing and talented miss Casey Wiegand, and the other by my creative husband,  Joshua.
I'm so lucky to have met such a wonderful gal!!! She truly is lovely folks!!! But I'm sure y'all already know that!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Have a GREAT rest of the weekend, everyone! Be JESUS to someone :)

Dreaming...

I've been thinking of houses today.
We're talking hopefully by the beginning of next year to start looking.
Buying or building we're not sure yet.

I LOVE the old Folk Victorian buildings. Down home southern Mayberry charm is what I'm looking for!

4th of July...Apple Pie....sweet TEA...ice cream...WATERMELON....corn on the cob......children's laughter...

fresh cut grass.....glass bottles filled with ice cold milk, delivered right to your door...
...doesn't that sound like "HOME"?!

Do you dream about your future??? How do you like to decorate?

Share your home with me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great evening! Buh Bye!
